Gallery 01/26/24
Hi, dragon friends! It’s been over a week since the last gallery post, so this one will include substantially more images than previous galleries. Somehow I doubt anyone will mind. So wake up, wake up, wake up. Here we go!
Speaking of waking up, have you ever slept so hard that you didn’t know what day it was when you woke? This dragon fella knows the feeling.
After waking, a shower is usually in order. Let’s enjoy a Water Dance, dragon-style.
Good news! I figured out what happens to socks that go missing in the laundry. I caught the culprits red-handed and sock-headed. See for yourself.
Dragons are lucky they can be so adorable, otherwise this sock business might warrant punishment. But, honestly, who could punish this kind of cuteness?
Certainly not me. I wouldn’t even punish a cute dragon that sneaked into the fridge to look for snacks.
Several commemorative National Days passed recently. First up, National Cheese Lovers Day on January 20. As if anyone needs a holiday to remind them to eat cheese. ::eye roll::
National Hugging Day came next on January 21, as did National Squirrel Appreciation Day. (Say what?)
January 22 was National Polka-Dot Day. Hmm. Am I the only one who thinks that some of these “holidays” are weird? They’re good excuses for generating fun and interesting dragon art though.
I don’t think too many folks would complain about National Pie Day on January 23. I know a sneaky, hungry dragon who certainly didn’t.
January 24 was a big day for celebrations. The dragons at Carpe Draco recognized three of them — National Peanut Butter Day, National Compliment Day, and National Beer Can Appreciation Day. Just how many beer cans you appreciate is up to you.
Finally, the dragons showed their support for National Opposite Day on January 25. They contrasted clean vs. dirty and big vs. small.
The remaining images in this gallery aren’t an homage to any particular special day. The elf girl below is reminding her dragon that if he believes in the magic, he will see it. That’s a lesson for us all.
A favorite image in this batch was Gummy Wyrms. By the reactions, there is a big, hungry market for such a delicious and draconic candy treat. The cooks and alchemists around the kingdom ought to make producing Gummy Wyrms a priority.
Lastly, to remind everyone that not all dragons are cute or edible, meet the War Drakes.
