An upcoming fantasy video game invites adventurers into a world of magic, monsters, and magnificent dragons.
Looking for a new fantasy world to explore? ArcheAge Chronicles is preparing to welcome adventurers on November 3, 2026, and there’s something in its promotional footage that caught our attention here at Carpe Draco.
Dragons!
Developed by XLGAMES, ArcheAge Chronicles is an online fantasy role-playing game set in the magical land of Auroria. Players can create their own adventurers, explore a sprawling world, encounter dangerous creatures, and embark on quests.
Think of it as stepping into a fantasy novel, except you’re one of the characters!
A World of Fantasy Adventure
The game takes place 50 years after the events of the original ArcheAge, but newcomers won’t need to have played that game to appreciate the setting.
Auroria is a land of beautiful landscapes, ancient mysteries, settlements, and dangerous wilderness. Adventurers can explore, battle monsters, discover treasures, and share their experiences with other players.
The game’s trailers offer glimpses of a visually impressive fantasy world filled with the promise of adventure.
And then there’s that dragon.
Here Be Dragons!
One of the game’s earlier promotional trailers features a formidable dragon surrounded by flames.
For those of us who love dragons, that’s certainly enough to make us curious!
Exactly how dragons will figure into the finished adventure remains to be seen. Will players battle them? Encounter them during special quests? Perhaps even befriend one?
We don’t have those answers yet, but we’re looking forward to discovering more.
When Can You Play?
ArcheAge Chronicles enters Early Access on November 3, 2026, for Windows PC through Steam, with a starting price of $29.99 in North America.
Early Access means the game will be available to play while its developers continue improving and expanding it before the full release.
You can learn more, watch the trailers, and explore the game on the official ArcheAge Chronicles website.
As for us, we’ll be keeping an eye on those dragons!
